Beau Miller founded Your Insurance Advocates out of a desire to help people through the complicated world of insurance following his own personal experiences.
After a decade stint in the wine industry, Beau was seeking a career that better aligned with his role as a father to two young children and his desire to help people. He made the leap to mortgage financing, hoping to help others find the perfect home. But just two months into his new career, the entire industry – and economy – came crashing down.
For seven months, Beau struggled through unfulfilling jobs and bouts of unemployment. He was on the verge of financial collapse, as one thing became clear: securing health insurance for his family was extremely difficult. Frustrated and inspired, Beau saw that the experiences of his younger life had equipped him with a natural skill set for the very work others found overwhelming. With a father in the military and parents who divorced, he had moved around a lot, learning to adapt to change and honing his “gift of gab.” He knew life could be unfair and difficult, and his straight-talk helped him earn people’s trust and relate to all kinds of people.
Navigating insurance for his own family made him realize that his knack for numbers and patience with paperwork could fill a need. And most importantly, he could do the work with a sense of purpose – helping people through a complicated process to achieve affordable health care, without all the frustrations and overwhelming feelings. With that newly found passion, a credit card and a cashed-out 401(k), he started Your Insurance Advocates out of his basement and built it into a successful company that’s helped tens of thousands of people find the right health coverage for their insurance needs.
The company has expanded to offer guidance with Medicare health insurance, dental, vision and travel insurance and to employ a staff of dedicated individuals who share Beau’s passion and commitment to customer service at the highest level. Today, Your Insurance Advocates continues to guide clients through the complicated world of insurance so they can make informed decisions and find peace of mind.
